Keinänen & Kivinen: Matriarkka
The Matriarch is a dance-like monologue, a graceful speech from the space between life and death. In Finnish.
The Matriarch is a dance-like monologue, a graceful speech from the space between life and death. In Finnish.
Comedian and dance artist Johanna Keinänen dives into the skin of a widow who is dissatisfied with everything. As her body lies in the ground, her rage, jealousy and petty soul condenses, and the need for control never dies. Are the flowers in the neighbour’s grave more beautiful again?
