Arriving to the theatre, facilities and accessibility
Our stage and office spaces are located at the Cable Factory, at Tallberginkatu 1 A. We recommend arriving by public transport. Thorough instructions on arriving with maps of the area can be found on the Cable Factory website.
Our performances take place on our own stage and in Dance House Helsinki. Adjacent to our own stage, the Hurjaruuth stage, is our welcoming audience foyer with its historical touches. In the foyer you can wait for the performance to start. Occasionally we also organise artist talks in the foyer, and have built a tiny, sympathetic stage for this purpose as well.
Our largest annual production, Winter Circus, takes place at the Cable Factory on Dance House Helsinki’s Erkko stage (address Kaapeliaukio 3). Dance House Helsinki is accessible via an unobstructed entrance from the Cable Factory Glass courtyard. When you arrive through the main entrance, the Dance House Helsinki lobby is directly to your right.
Hurjaruuth stage and foyer
Arriving through Cable Factory main entrance (the Glass courtyard):
Walk all the way to the other end of the Glass courtyard. The door to the A staircase is on your right, walk a few steps up and step into the stairwell. Go up to the second floor by using the stairs or the lift.
Go through the Glass courtyard to the inner courtyard of the Cable Factory. Take the B staircase lift up to the second floor. Once on the second floor, go through the glass doors and turn right. Continue until the end of the hallway.
You can also enter through Konttori café whose entrance is next to the Tallberginkatu gateway. There is a wheelchair ramp to the café entrance from the street. You can access the lifts by going through the café. Go up to the 2. floor. NB! You can ask the café personnel for instructions.
